Bernice I. (Runyon) Willkom, 93, married to the late Herman Willkom, died January 27, 2010, in Hendersonville, N.C.

She was born November 19, 1916, in Olney, Illinois, the daughter of the late Morris and Nellie L. (Crosby) Runyon, sister of the late Berlin Runyon and late Wanda (Runyon) Sullivan and was a 1934 graduate of Olney Township High School. 

She resided in the Cleveland, Ohio, area and retired to Etowah, N.C., in 1988. Widowed in 1956, she ran a business, was an active member of Chagrin Valley Country Club and lovingly supported and educated her two children.

She is survived by her brother, Richard M. Runyon Sr., and sister, Kathleen (Runyon) Houchin, both of Olney; son, John Willkom and devoted daughter-in-law, Lynn, of Etowah, N.C.; daughter and son-in-law, Susan and John Foulds, of Lenox, Mass.; four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren in the Cleveland area.

She was preceded in death by her stepson and daughter-in-law, Richard and Betty Willkom, of Bradenton, Fla., and survived by their three children.
