Sandra Kaye Martin, 42, Sheridan, Ill., formerly of Richland County, died Wednesday afternoon, January 17, 1990 at Copley Hospital in Aurora from a bout with cancer. Burial in Oak Hill Cemetery, Parkersburg.

Mrs. Martin was born January 3, 1948 in Olney, the daughter of Arthur Dale and Doris (Simon) Groff. She married Norman Martin on November 8, 1963 in Albion and he survives.

She was a communication technician for AT&T at the F.M.A.C. office in Norway. She was a member of Elm Street Christian Church in Olney and attended the Norway United Methodist Church. She was also a member of Richland County Genealogical Society.

Surviving in addition to her spouse, Norman Martin, are one son, Rodney, at home; one daughter Debbi Gardner, Olney; one brother Mark Groff, Columbia, Ind.; her mother Doris Groff, White Pigeon, Mich.; one grandson, Michael; maternal grandmother Eva Burdick, Greenville, Ohio; five nieces and two nephews.

She was preceded in death by an infant son, William; her father and one sister, Vicki Griffin.
