Annetta McLerran (Lynch)

Annetta Marie Lynch, 80, of Jacksonville, formerly of West Salem, died Monday, November 19, 2007, at Modern Care Convalescent Center.  Burial in Oak Hill Cemetery in Parkersburg.

Mrs. Lynch was born August 4, 1927, in Noble, daughter of Opal and Maude Haines McLerran. She married Herbert Ray Lynch on June 1, 1952, in Olney. He preceded her in death on December 24, 2003.

She was a devoted mother and farmwife. For much of her life, she worked as a beautician. She was dedicated to her family and enjoyed cooking for them and taking care of them. She also enjoyed reading Christian literature. She was a member of Zion United Methodist Church in West Salem, where she taught Sunday School until she and her husband moved to Jacksonville in 2001. She became a member of First Christian Church in South Jacksonville. The highlight of her week was attending Sunday morning services with her family. Her loving and unselfish presence will be greatly missed.

Mrs. Lynch is survived by her sons, Dr. Ronald Ray Lynch and his wife, Kim, of Jacksonville, James Lee Lynch and his wife, Kathy, of O'Fallon, and Dr. Samuel Eugene Lynch and his wife, Leslie, of Franklin, Tenn.; step-daughter, Dorothy Fleetwood, of Lafayette, Tenn.; grandchildren, Marcus Lynch, of Jacksonville, Matthew Lynch, of Alton, Michelle Sjuts {sic} and her husband, Kevin, of Lincoln, Neb., and Allyson Lynch, Meaghan Lynch and Kaylee Lynch, all of Franklin, Tenn.; brother, Bryce McLerran and his wife, Sarilee, of Largo, Fla.; and sisters, Kay Pinkstaff and her husband, Robert, of Morris, and Martha King, of Olney.
