Katherine M. Burget, 68, of Claremont, IL, died Monday, August 3, 1998, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, IN.
Services at Summers-Kistler Funeral Home in Olney. Burial in Crest Haven Cemetery in rural Claremont.

Memorials may be made to Good Samaritan Hospital - Dialysis Unit.

Burget was born on June 16, 1930, in Richland County, the daughter of Gilbert and Beatrice (Whiteside) Spitz. She married Leotis Burget May 11, 1951.

She was a retired food supervisor at Olney Care Center. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Bridgeport, Claremont Community Club, and Claremont Women's Club.

She is survived by her husband, Leotis, of Claremont; one son, David Leotis Burget, of Moweaqua; three daughters, Deborah Kay Burget, at home, Sharon Lynn Jones and her husband, Mike, of Claremont, and Jaqueline Diane Madden and her husband, Jeff, of Claremont; one brother, Delbert Spitz, of Sumner; her father, Gilbert Spitz and his wife, Marge, of Claremont; one step-sister, Anita Landenberger and her husband, Dick, of Dallas, TX; one step-brother, Jim Fehrenbacher and his wife, Jill, of Flora; seven grandchildren, Shree, Jesse, and Seth Jones, Brad, Jenny and Bo Madden, and Zachery Burget; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother and an infant sister.
