Peggy Gene Scherer, 82, of Olney died on February 24, 2014 at her granddaughters residence in Olney. Cremation Rites were accorded, a private family service held at a later date.

Peggy was born March 24, 1931 in Olney, Illinois, daughter of  Eugene and Ermal (Jenner) Bail. She married Myrl Scherer on March 25, 1948, and he survives.

Peggy loved spending time with her family and friends. She attended St. Joseph Church of Olney.

She is survived by her husband, Myrl Scherer of Olney; sons, Mike Scherer and wife, Lynn, Jim Scherer and wife, Karen, and Tim Scherer and wife, Rita; daughter, Rebecca Scherer and friend, Richard; nine grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by  her parents, a sister, Jane and an infant brother.
