Irvin Keen

Irvin Donell Keen, of Olney, died at Monday, September 17, 2007, at Richland Memorial Hospital in Olney.   Burial in Sumner Cemetery in Sumner with graveside military rites.

Mr. Keen was born March 11, 1931, in Lawrence County, the son of Orble and Evalyn (Johnson) Keen. He married Barbara Ann Brothers. She preceded him in death on July 22, 2001. He married Donna R. Elie and she survives.

He was a retired broadcast engineer for WUSI-TV and owner of Keen's Electronic Service. He was a member of Mt. Gilead Church, American Legion, and LSMR Association and was a Navy veteran of the Korean War.

Mr. Keen is survived by his wife, Donna R. Elie Keen, of Olney; daughter, Cynthia Ann Smith and her husband, Duane, of Springfield; daughter, Donna Sue Schnell and her husband, Marion, of Olney; daughter, Lisa Kay Farrish and her husband, George, of Batesville, Miss.; son, David Allen Keen and his wife, Lisa, of Princeton, Ind.; daughter, Sheri Lynn Koch and her husband, Robert, of Springfield; mother-in-law, Helen Price, of West Liberty; stepson, Patrick Elie and his wife, Becky, of Ste. Marie; stepdaughter, Kathryn Huene and her husband, Mike, of Mattoon; brother, Sterl Wayne Keen and his wife, Maxine, of Olney; sister, Lavaun Headlee and her husband, John, of Flora; grandchildren, Devonnee, Quintin, Jessica, Mikayla, Matthew, Ellen and Amy; stepgrandchildren, Harry, Dixie and Tess; and great-grandchildren, Ashlyn and Grace.

He was preceded in death by his first wife; parents; and infant sister, June Louise.
