Marilyn Carolyn (Barche) Mason, 83, of Olney, passed away Thursday, June 12, 2014, at her home.  Interment of ashes will take place at a later date. A Memorial Service will be held from 7-8 p.m. Wednesday, June 25 at Elm Street Christian Church in Olney. There will be a get-together afterward at Mom's home.

Marilyn was born April 13, 1931, the daughter of Frank and Nadine Barche.  She married Clyde Mason in 1952. He preceded her in death on October 16, 1990.

Mrs. Mason was a 1949 graduate of Olney Township High School.

Marilyn was a loving mother, grandmother,and great-grandmother. She loved to play the piano at her church, Elm Street Christian Church, and local area nursing homes. She also volunteered at Richland Memorial Hospital's Gift Shop.

Marilyn is survived by her three children, Monty and his wife, of Batavia, Keith, of Carterville,and Brian, of Olney; eight grandchildren, Nicholas, Matthew, Marcus, Christian, Lauren (Rees), Ryan, Nicole, and Misty; six great-grandchildren, Hadley, Rose, Rocky, Lucas, Olive, and Zoe; and one sister, Donna Czarnik.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
