Margaret Louise Wingert Petty, 81, of Olney died Saturday (May 14, 2011) at Richland Memorial Hospital, Olney.

She was born May 2, 1930 in Olney to Lester Cloyd Wingert and Neva McCarty Wingert Whitaker. She married Kenneth Gene Petty on August 18, 1947. He preceded her in death on August 25, 2010.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; infant son, Stephen Douglas; brothers, Cloyd "Chuck" and Loren "Red" Wingert and sister, Opal Wingert Hataway.

She is survived by a son, Jeffrey Petty and his wife, Laurie, of Sandborn, Indiana; daughter, Connie Harriss and her husband, Jerry, of Olney and daughter, Janice Karns and her husband, Gene, of Altamont; six grandchildren, Amy Petty Westall and husband, Brooke, Beau Petty, Karise Harriss Roberson and husband, Nathan, Tiffany Harriss Vaughn and husband, Ben, Megan Lemke and Chris Cook, and Ryan Lemke and wife, Tabatha and seven great-grandchildren, Jourdan Westall, William Roberson, Brody Vaughn, Bailey Cook, Paxton Cook, Grace Lemke and Ethan Lemke.
