Jewell E. Eichhorst, 66, of Olney, died Tuesday Oct. 17, 1995 at Richland Memorial Hospital.  Services at Summers-Kistler Funeral Home in Olney, with Rev. Mark C. Myers and Vicar John Wall officiating.

Burial  in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Claremont.  Eichhorst was born Oct. 31, 1928 in Richland County, the son of Rolla I. and Beulah (Weesner) Eichhorst. He married Rosemary Arnold March 30, 1950 in Mt. Vernon.

He was a retired highway maintenance man with the state of Illinois. He was also a member of the First United Methodist Church in Olney and Southern Illinois Woodworkers Association.

He is survived by his wife, of Olney; two sons, Steve Eichhorst and his wife, Darrelynn, of Olney, and Brad Eichhorst and his wife, Lisa, of Wahiawa, Hawaii; two daughter, Julie Eichhorst, of Greenbelt, MD, and Michelle Deimel and her husband, John of Olney, a sister, Dove Hudson, of Lake Jackson, TX; and two grandchildren, Scott and Seth Eichhorst.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister and one grandson.
