James Robert Bohrer

James R. Bohrer, 79, of Geneva and formerly of Plano, passed away Friday, April 16, 2010, at Arden Courts in Geneva. Graveside services at Moravian Cemetery in West Salem.

Mr. Bohrer was born April 22, 1930, in Olney, the son of Theodore and Christina (Boewe) Bohrer.

He was united in marriage on June 15, 1952, at Moravian Church in West Salem to the former Lucinda "Imogene" Hasewinkle. They spent the next 49 happy years of their lives together until her passing on January 16, 2001. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle who will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

Mr. Bohrer was a longtime member of First Lutheran Church in Plano. James served his country proudly as a former member of the United States Air Force. He was employed for 25 years by Caterpillar, Inc. in Aurora until his retirement, member of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows, Little Rock Lodge No. 171, in Plano.

He is survived by his son, Robert (Darla) Bohrer, of Troy, Ohio; daughter, Cindy (Ron) Jaudon, of Batavia; granddaughters, Ellen and Madison Jaudon; brother, William Bohrer, of Sarepta, N.J.; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Theodore and Christina Bohrer; and his wife, Imogene Bohrer.
