Barbara Jean "Pinky" Zimmack, 78, of Muncie, Ind. died Tuesday February 5, 2008 after an extended illness. Mrs. Zimmack was born April 13, 1929 in Olney the daughter of Bert and Delpha Pauline (Dougherty) Keen.

She received her bachelor's degree from Eastern Illinois University and her master's degree from Ball State University. She retired from Muncie Community Schools in 1989 as a special-education teacher. She was a member of Hazelwood Christian Church, Sigma Sigma Sigma Sorority, Pi Omega Pi business Fraternity and D.A.R.

Mrs. Zimmack is survived by her husband of 56 years, Harold L. Zimmack of Muncie, Ind.; son, John Mark Zimmack and his wife, Fatima of Muncie, Ind.; daughters, Cindy Terry and her husband, Brent of Indianapolis, Ind. and Lissa Schiller and her husband, Lou of Bedford, Texas; and four grandchildren.

Memorial services were held at Hazelwood Christian Church with Rev. Colby Smith officiating. Meeks Mortuary in Muncie, Ind., was in charge of arrangements.
