James Lewis Hunt

James L. "Jim" Hunt, 66, of Mt. Vernon, died Thursday, July 20, 1995 at Good Samaritan Regional Health Center in Mt. Vernon.  Services at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Fr. Melvin Vandeloo officiating. Burial in St. Mary's Cemetery.

Hunt was born May 26, 1929 in Olney, the son of Paul H. and Lulu (Totten) Hunt. He married Anita Brookfield June 30, 1949 in Olney. She survives.

He was a pharmaceutical salesman for Merck Inc. for 34 years until retirement. He was also a member of the St. Mary's Catholic Church; a member of Knights of Columbus James P. Burke Council 2964, was past Grand Knight of the Council, was active in Toast Masters Club for several years and served as secretary for many years.

He is survived by his wife, of Mt. Vernon; three sons, Bruce Hunt and his wife, Ruth of San Diego, Calif., Bradley Hunt and his wife, Susan of West Bloomfield, Mich. and Bernard Hunt and his wife, Holly of Friendswood, Texas; three daughters, Brenda Price and her husband, Gary of Mt. Vernon, Beverly Adams and her husband, Keith of Bonnie and Barbara Nieskes and her husband, Mike of Muskego, Wis.; three sisters, Pauline Gayer, Helen Stivers and Katie Crosby, all of Olney; six grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one grandson, one brother and three sisters.
