Bob Hearring

Robert E. "Bob" Hearring, 80, of Olney, died at 9:45 p.m. Friday, February 12, 2010, in his residence. Funeral services at First United Methodist Church in Olney with Rev. Scott Carlson officiating. Burial in Haven Hill Cemetery in Olney.

Mr. Hearring was born March 3, 1929, in Olney, the son of Samuel J. and Ada (Berry) Hearring. He married Clara Jo Bingman on March 10, 1950. She survives.

He was in oil-field sales since 1947. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Olney, a member of Olney Masonic Lodge and Shriner. He served on the Richland County Housing Authority.

He is survived by his wife, Clara Jo Hearring, of Olney; son, Sam Hearring and his wife, Joselyn, of Olney; son, Tom Hearring and his wife, Julie, of Olney; brother, James S. Hearring and his wife, Pat, of Decatur; four grandchildren, Jamia Eimer and her husband, Bill; Katie Stealey and her husband, Adrian; Allyson Padilla and her husband, Angel; and Brian Hearring and his wife, Liz; three step-grandchildren, Kate, Sam and Ben Heidinger; four great-grandchildren, Madelyn Dunn, Ella Eimer, Lily Stealey and A.J. Padilla; and cousins, Jerry Hearring, of Flora; and Janice Keller, of Olney.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
