Mrs. Wanda H. Katro, age 87 of Dundas, Illinois, passed away Friday, January 20, 2017, at Helia Healthcare in Olney, Illinois.

Graveside services at St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery in rural West Liberty, Illinois.   In loving memory of Wanda, memorials may be made to the Multiple Scleroses Society.

Wanda was born on November 4, 1929, in Richland County, Illinois, the daughter of Lloyd B. and Ruth E. (Yost) Harding.  She married John Curtis Katro on September 4, 1960, in Olney, Illinois, and he survives.

Wanda was a Registered Nurse and a homemaker.  She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Olney, Illinois, Order of Eastern Star in Olney and the Moose Lodge of Olney.  She enjoyed quilting and playing the piano. She played the piano at several area churches including the Willow Hill United Methodist Church.

Wanda is survived by her husband of 56 years, John Katro of Dundas; son, Chris (Tori) Kato of Springfield, IL; grandchildren, Bethany (Andy) Barnes, Russell Zoerner and Dustin Zoerner; great-grandchildren, Gavin Zoerner, Grace Zoerner, Ace Barnes and Evelyn Barnes.

Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, brother Daymond Harding and an infant sister.
