Elsie M. Amerman, 67, of Olney, IL died August 6, 1997, at Olney Care CenterShe was born .

March 29, 1930, in Wayne County, the daughter of Pearl J. and Hattie Gardner Brummett.  She married Sam G. Amerman January 29, 1947. He preceded her in death October 28, 1979.

She was retired from Aircall Communications. She was a member of the VFW, American Legion Auxiliary and Moose Lodge.

She is survived by two sons, Sam and John Amerman; one daughter, Phyllis Roepke; eight grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and two brothers.

Services were held at Summers-Kistler Funeral Home in Olney with burial in Haven Hill Cemetery.
