Dona Mae (Boone) Scherer, 68, of Tripoli, Wisconsin died Sunday, December 29, 1996 at Wausau Hospital. Services at Kruger & Sons Funeral Home, Tomahawk with burial in Greenwood Cemetery, Bradley, WI.

Dona was born December 24, 1928 daughter of Ruben D. and Elizabeth H. (Stewart) Boone. She married Jerry E. Scherer on October 25, 1947 in Olney, Illinois. He preceded her in death September 10, 1993.

She was employed at Fort Sheridan until retirement.

Survivors include two sons, Steve (Jean) Scherer, of Stevens Point and Mark (Martha) Scherer of Downers Grove, IL and four grandchildren.
