Norma Jean (Berry)  Cook, 93, of Olney, Illinois, passed away on Thursday, November 10, 2022 at Carle Richland Memorial Hospital. Norma was born October 4, 1929 in Olney, Illinois, the daughter of Lyle and Lola (Bowlby) Berry. She married Carl Elba Cook on January 14, 1948 in Olney, and he preceded her in death on April 22, 2010.

Norma was a long-time member of the Olney Church of Christ, where her father was a minister. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Norma especially loved having her family home for holidays and birthdays. She was a kind and sweet lady, and she will be dearly missed.

Norma Jean Cook is survived by her son, Tony Cook and wife Connie of Pana, IL; son, Ricky Cook and wife Vicki of Effingham, IL; daughter, Terri Romoser and husband Sean of Fenton, MO; grandchildren, Jared, Courtney, Ryan, and Reagan, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and her sister, Estele Barnett.

A funeral service for Norma will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, November 14, 2022 at Kistler-Patterson Funeral Home in Olney, with a visitation beginning one-hour prior to service time. Interment will follow the service at Haven Hill Memorial Gardens in Olney.
