Betty Jean (Sayre) Myers, 91, of Olney, passed away on Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at Carle Richland Memorial Hospital in Olney, IL.  Graveside services at Haven Hill Memorial Garden Cemetery.

She was born on March 13, 1926 in Olney, IL, the daughter of Herman and Gladys (Doty) Sayre.  She married David Carl Myers on January 16, 1949 in Olney, IL.  He preceded her in death on November 23, 2003.

Betty worked for CIPS as a bookkeeper for more than 30 years. She enjoyed flowers and grew roses on her property. She and her husband, Dave, traveled extensively in the U.S. They enjoyed meeting with their friends at McDonalds for coffee and conversation.

Betty is survived by her brother, Robert Sayre and wife Ruth of Olney; nieces, Linda Rock of Broken Arrow, OK, Angela Cordell of Olney, Susan Duncan of Jeffersonville, IN, and Sally Wilson of Altamont, IL; and several great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
