Jacqueline Eaton (Provost-Jared)

Mrs. Jacqueline Eaton Jared, age 44, one of this communities finest ladies, passed away yesterday afternoon, September 2, 1970 at the family residence following a long period of ill health.

Born May 26, 1926 at Moweaqua, Mrs. Jared was the daughter of J. Mack Eaton and Leona LeMay Eaton. She was married to Leland Jared on July 24, 1948.

She was a member of the Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Jared was active in community affairs while in good health and possessed many talents. She was a most ardent teacher of dancing and conducted her own school of dancing, and innumerable youngsters were enriched by her efforts.

She leaves her husband and the following children: Mrs. Pamela Price of Pleasant Hill, Brian Jared, Alan Jared, Jay Jared and Liane Jared all living at home. She also leaves her mother, Mrs. Leona Eaton of Olney, and a brother, J. Mack Eaton, of Sandy Springs, Ga.; and her mother and father-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Jared of Olney.

Funeral services held in the Memorial Chapel of the Summers-Rainey Funeral Home. Interment in Crest Haven Memorial Park.

She is a significant part of my childhood memories.
