Kenneth Petty, 83 passed away August 25, 2010 at Richland Memorial Hospital in Olney. He was born September 1, 1926, in German Township, Richland County, the son of Harry and Sylvia (Pauley) Petty. He married Margaret Wingert on August 18, 1947. She survives.

He was a retired truck driver. He was an U.S. Army veteran, having served in World War II and the Korean conflict. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion.

Mr. Petty is survived by his wife, Margaret Petty, of Olney; son, Jeffrey Petty and his wife, Laurie, of Sanborn, Ind.; daughter, Connie Harriss and her husband, Jerry, of Olney; daughter, Janice Karns and her husband, Gene, of Altamont; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Sylvia Petty; son, Stephen Douglas Petty; and brothers, Herschel and Burl.
