Dorothy Ellen Moore Newell, 88, of Sumner, IL passed away Monday December 29, 2014 at Helia Healthcare in Olney, IL

She was born April 16, 1926 in Lukin Township, IL the daughter of Walter Robert and Floe (Shick) Moore. She married Lewis W. Newell on December 31, 1947. He died on November 6, 1991.

Dorothy worked alongside her husband on their family farm. She was a member of the Christian Church of Sumner.

She is survived by a sister-in-law: Lora Mae Moore of Bridgeport, IL and by several cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by a brother Charles R. Moore.

Funeral services at the Sivert-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Sumner, IL.  Burial at the Gillead Cemetery.
