Donald Brown Sprague, 83, of Dixon Springs, Illinois, died Thursday, January 8, 2009 at Lourdes Hospital in Paducah, KY.

Mr. Sprague was a Master Sargeant in the U.S. Air Force with 20 years of service, a flight engineer during the Berlin Airlift, and retired from civil service in which he was a flight simulator.

Surviving are one son, Michael Sprague of Villa Park, Ill; two grandchildren; one sister, Katherine Stelle of Bloomington; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Clifton; one step-son, Jerry Bucher and one brother, Clarence E. Sprague. His parents were Clarence and Laura (Brown) Sprague.

A memorial service held at Aly Funeral Home in Eddyville. Burial in Camp Butler National Cemetery, Springfield, IL.
