Ray Dean Scherer, 71, of Riva, Md., died Tuesday, Dec. 5, 1995 in Maryland.  Services at John M. Taylor Funeral Home in Annapolis, Md. Burial in the Hillcrest Cemetery in Maryland.

Scherer was a retired counter manager for R.P.S. Auto Parts and was also in part-time sales with Bowen Farm Supply. He was a Navy veteran of WWII. He was a member of Southe Anne Arudel Lions Club, a life member of Annapolis Lodge #662 B.P.O. Elks and a retired member of the Riva Volunteer Fire Department.

He is survived by wife, Evelyn Scherer; two daughters, Patricia White, of Riva, Md., and Judy Crandell, of Lothian, Md. a brother, Myrl Scherer, of Olney; two sisters, Avada Leaf and Florence Orr, both of Olney; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
