Eva M. Burgener (Taylor)

Eva Taylor, 89, passed away peacefully on October 26, 2014 in San Diego, California with her loving daughter by her side.  Eva was born August 4, 1925 daughter of Albert John and Viola (Swinger) Burgener.

Eva grew up in Olney, Illinois where she met her husband, George. They moved with his career out of Illinois and lived in Louisiana, Texas, and Oklahoma. She was a woman of great faith, a devoted mother and a cherished grandmother. Those who survive her hope to carry on her legacy of kindness and selflessness.

Eva was preceded in death by her husband, George Taylor; son Scott Taylor; and brother, John Burgener.

She is survived by her daughter Jan Taylor McVicker and son-in-law Rudy McVicker; granddaughters Rachel Platt, Christy McVicker Ryan, Angela O'Brien, and Kimberly Appleby; great-grandchildren Harlow Taylor Ryan and Harper Evamae Platt; and grandsons-in-law Beau Platt, Nick Ryan, Kyle O'Brien and Ryan Appleby.

Memorial services were held in San Diego at Rancho Bernardo Community Presbyterian Church with interment at Haven Hill Cemetery in Olney, Illinois.
