Wayne Salisbury, 74, of Rantoul died Tuesday April 15, 1986 at Mercy Hospital in Urbana.  Funeral services at the Rantoul American Lutheran Church in Rantoul with the Rev. Marvin Remmers and the Rev. Mark Luepke presiding. Burial in Haven Hill Cemetery in Olney.

He was born November 8, 1911 in Blue Mound, the son of Chester and Katie (Dunkel) Salisbury. He married Genevieve Harris on December 17, 1938 in Henderson, Ky. and she survives.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Robert Salisbury of Rantoul and Daniel Salisbury of Springfield; a daughter, Sharon Floyd of Bedford, Texas; three brothers, Raleigh Salisbury of Nokomis, Charles Salisbury of Salt Lake City, Utah and Eugene Salisbury of Pawnee; a sister, Elsie Woods of Newton and seven grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.

He attended schools in the Olney area and operated a restaurant in Rantoul from 1968 until his death.
