Olney Man Bedfast 17 Years Dies at 43

Hubert “Hob” Jennings, 43, Olney, bedfast 17 years with multiple sclerosis, died this morning, June 18, 1957 at Richland Memorial Hospital in Olney.

While in high school, he played on the basketball team.  He was born in Olney October 27, 1914 son of Cecil A. and Blanche (Reed) Jennings. He married Lynne Greeson in 1936.

He leaves his wife, Lynne; a son, Tom at home; daughter, Barbara at home; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Jennings, Olney; brother, Leo of Olney; sister, Mrs. Caroline Hurley of Carbondale and foster brother, Connel Reed, Olney.

Services in the Summers-Wilson Funeral Home, Olney. Burial in Haven Hill Cemetery.
