Virgil O. Lenear, 81, of Olney, died August 27, 1991 at his residence.

He was born March 26, 1910 in Richland County, the son of Charles Henry and Sirena Sly Lenear. He married Iva Lou Knakmuhs in 1947.

He was retired from working in maintenance at AMF in Olney. He attended Pleasant Ridge Church. He was a veteran of World War II, serving with the U. S. Army.

Mr. Lenear is survived by his wife; four sons, Dale E., Charles, David, and Jim Lenear; two daughters, Carolyn Haerr and June Roberson; one sister, Vera Ostendorf; and 11 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.

Funeral services were held in the Chapel of Summers-Kistler Funeral Home with burial in Hanna Cemetery in Noble.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Richland County.
