J. Ben Weber (Chemistry/Math 1957)

J. Ben Weber, 54, of Norwich, N.Y., formerly of Olney, died Monday June 26, 1989 at Richland Memorial Hospital.  A memorial service held at the First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Bob Logan presiding. The body is being cremated.

Mr. Weber was born August 25, 1934 in Olney, the son of Bernard A. and Louise (Chenoweth) Weber. He married Yanna Kroes December 12, 1985 and she survives.

He was a chemist for Norwich-Eaton Pharmaceutical Company.

Surviving in addition to his wife, are three sons, Donald and wife Nancy of Ft. Leonard Wood, Mo., Baxter and wife, Cheri of Springfield, Ore. and Kenneth and wife, Michelle of St. Louis, Mo.; two daughters, Mrs. Doug (Karen) Norwine of Hurst, Texas and Mrs. Greg (Gretchen) Moore of McKinney, Texas; two step-daughters, Lisa McGinley of Norwich and Lesley McGinley of Norwich; one brother, Bernard Weber of Salt Lake City, Utah; two sisters, Mrs. Bill (Louise) Borah of Olney and Mrs. Jim (Ann) Taylor of Newton; mother, Louise Schmalhausen of Olney and two grandsons.

His father and one brother preceded him in death.
