Alberta Copeland, 88, Olney, died Monday May 14, 1990 at Richland Memorial Hospital.  Services at Zirkle Funeral Home with the Rev. Bob Logan officiating. Burial in Crest Haven Memorial Park.

Mrs. Copeland was born June 25, 1901 in the Pleasant Ridge community in Richland County, the daughter of Martin and Mary (Bill) Sparr. She married Charles C. Copeland June 21, 1934 in Xenia. He died October 27, 1968.

She taught school throughout the East Richland School District for many years.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Olney and was active in Girl Scouts of America.

Surviving are two daughters, Mariella Brinkley of Olney and Sharon Wilburn of Palos Hills.

She was preceded in death by her spouse, parents, one brother and one sister.
