Harvey Zorn, 74, formerly of Springfield, Illinois died March 23, 1986 in Phoenix, Arizona.

He was born November 12, 1911, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Howard H. Zorn.

Mr. Zorn was a retired music director at Central High School and bands and orchestra director at Phoenix Union High School.

He was first oboist for the Phoenix Symphony Orchestra for 15 years. He was a past member of the board of directors of the Phoenix Symphony Orchestra, a member of the Springfield Orchestra, Civic Orchestra in Pasadena, Calif., and the Symphony in Glendale, Calif.

Mr. Zorn received his master's degree in music from the University of Illinois.

He was a World War II Army Air Force captain and flight instructor.

Surviving are his wife; two daughters of Phoenix; and several cousins.
