Elmer Nicholas - Class Of 1962

Elmer H. (Bud) Nicholas, Jr. 37 of Rt. 1, Newton, died Monday June 15, 1981 in his home the result of a brain tumor. Services at Buchanan Funeral Home in Newton.

Mr. Nicholas was born April 3, 1944 in Olney, the son of Elmer and Eva (Garrett) Nicholas. He married Donna Kay Fuson December 10, 1965 in Newton and she survives.

He was a postal worker and a member of the Newton Southern Baptist Church.

Other survivors include a daughter, Kimberly at home; his parents; four brothers, Robert and William of Olney; Jeff, Dundas; five sisters, Mrs. Mary Stanley, Louisville; Mrs. Ruthanne Zwilling, Mrs. Diana Kay Bare, Mrs. Kathy Banks all of Olney; Mrs. Judy Tichy, Orem, Utah; many nieces and nephews; and a grandfather, Welby Garrett, Sumner.

He was a great Brother. He attended Church and lived his faith. He was the oldest brother in a family of nine siblings. He always had time for others. One of his great joys besides his family was his car and working as a postal employee.
