Joe Lane - Class Of 1982

Lawrence Joseph "Joe" Lane, 42, of Jasonville passed away Saturday, July 15, 2006 at Regional Hospital in Terre Haute as a result of stomach cancer. 

Born Aug. 20, 1963 in Fort Knox, Ky., he was the son of Lawrence and Norma (Runyon) Lane Sr. of Olney, Ill. He married Barbie A. Miller on January 14, 1995 and she survives.

He was employed at Bill's Machine Shop in Olney and enjoyed trout fishing and woodworking.

Survivors include: his parents; a daughter, Kendra Lookebill, of Jasonville; two sons, Joseph and Matthew Lane and their mother, Mary Ann Lane, of Olney; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Jody and Fred Leonard, of Springfield, Ill., Teresa and Tim Johnson, of Buffalo, Ill., Lori and Jeff Chapman, of Springfield, Ill; one sister-in-law, Marcie (Stacey) Voliva, of Sullivan; a brother-in-law, Tom (Tiffany) Miller, of Jasonville; mother-in-law, Wanda Miller, of Linton; maternal grandmother, Emma Linda Runyon, of Olney, Ill.; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather George Runyon and father-in-law, Thomas Miller.

Funeral service at McClanahan-Lee Funeral Home in Jasonville with the Rev. Harold Thomas officiating. Burial at Dugger Cemetery where military rites will be conducted.
