Bradley R. Rubsam, 57, of Olney, Illinois, passed away on Monday, August 14, 2023 in Olney.  Brad was born on October 19, 1965 in Effingham, Illinois, the son of Walter and Doris (Hanna) Rubsam. He married Wendy Holley on October 4, 1997 in Olney, and she survives.

Brad was a volunteer fireman for the Olney Fire Department for 31 years. He worked as a truck driver hauling freight for Wal-Mart for many years and enjoyed the camaraderie of his co-workers. Brad took pleasure in watching wildlife. He and his wife would drive around and look for deer and whatever other animals were out. He cherished his own animals, Shadow and Mac, very much. Brad was a patient man who was very good natured. He will be missed by all those that knew him.

Brad is survived by his wife, Wendy Rubsam of Olney; son, Tyler Rubsam of Olney; mother-in-law, Carol Bailey; father-in-law, Charles (Beckye) Holley; brother, Tony (Marsha) Rubsam; sister, Sharon Rubsam and Gail Rubsam; sister-in-law, Carrie Holley; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Jill Rubsam; and father-in-law, John Bailey.

A funeral service for Brad will be held at 6:00 PM on Thursday, August 17, 2023 at Kistler-Patterson Funeral Home in Olney, with a visitation from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
