Marjorie Lee Hanes, 76, of Olney, died Monday, May 11, 1998, at Rush-Copley Medical Center in Aurora.  Service at First Presbyterian Church in Olney with Rev. David A. McNabb officiating. Burial in Crest Haven Cemetery in rural Claremont.

Hanes was born Aug. 15, 1921, in Olney, the daughter of Lee and Helen (Cope) Mullinax. She married Kenneth Hanes Dec. 22, 1946.

She was a retired school teacher for the East Richland School District. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Olney, and Psi Master Chapter Beta Sigma Phi.

She is survived by her husband, of Olney; one daughter, Carol Honeycutt and her husband, Jim, of Woodbine, Md.; one sister, Helen Smith and her husband, Ed, of Plano; and three grandchildren, Bill, Andrew and Katie, all of Woodbine, Md.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Katherine, and a brother, Dale.
