Mrs. Blanche (Cottingham) Ewing, 83, of Rockford, Illinois and formerly of Mattoon died Tuesday, July 15, 1980 in Rockford Memorial Hospital.

Mrs. Ewing was employed as a teacher in the Mattoon school district in the late 1930’s and later was librarian and taught English at East Richland High School in Olney.

She was born September 11, 1896 in Mattoon.

Funeral service held in Elgin at the Schmidt Funeral Home with burial in the Bluff City Memorial Cemetery.
