Perle McCaw, 81, of Mt. Carmel, Illinois died Sunday, April 10, 2005, at St. Mary's Medical Center in Evansville. He was born August 27, 1923 in Richland County Illinois, the son of Elmus E. and Maude Serena (Richey) McCaw.

He was a World War II Army veteran. He worked as a driller in the oil field for 26 years, worked at Pacific for 10 years and was a farmer for several years.

Surviving are his wife, Velma Jean (Deisher) McCaw; daughters, Barbara Allen, Linda Alka and Judy Dunkel; and eight grandchildren.

Preceding him in death were his parents and a sister, Lorine Provines.

Services at Short Funeral Home Chapel, burial in Highland Memorial Cemetery.
