Dale Gray, 66, R. 2, Noble, died Wednesday April 19, 1989 in his home. Services at Summers Funeral Home with the Rev. Gene Everett presiding. Burial in Haven Hill Cemetery with full military graveside rites by the Olney Veterans organizations.

Mr. Gray was born March 21, 1923 in Noble, the son of Ashley and Maude (Barker) Gray. He married Marie Wood November 10, 1947 in Henderson, Ky., and she survives.

He was a retired rural route carrier for the U.S. Post Office. He was a World War II Army veteran, serving in the China, Burma, India Theatre.  He was a member of the VFW and American Legion.

Survivors, in addition to his wife, are a son, Robert (Jamie) Gray, Brownsfield, Texas; a daughter, Betty (Phillip)Brown, Lawrenceville; a brother, William T.S. Gray, Noble; two sisters, Mrs. Charles (Corenne) Black, Cape Coral, Fla. and Mrs. Donald (Joan) Gayer, Olney; three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister.
