Frank Shearer (Math 1949-1961)

Frank L. Shearer, 83, of St. Petersburg, Florida died Friday, May 7, 1993, at Edward White Hospital. Burial in Moravian Cemetery, West Salem, Illinois

Mr. Shearer was born in 1909 in Rapatee, Illinois.  He moved to St. Petersburg in 1960 from Olney, where he was a schoolteacher and a coach. He also taught and coached in Elmhurst and Browns, both in Illinois. 

He was a World War II veteran, serving in the U.S. Navy and was a member of the Wesley United Methodist Church.

Mr. Shearer had no known survivors.

Janice Bagwell (Ma) (1961)

Mr. Sshearer had a unique teaching style.  If you couldn't learn algebra from him, you were hopeless.  He was the best and one of the nicest teachers I ever had!
