Alma Irene (Wells) Darnes, 72, Springfield, died April 18, 1983 in Sun City Center, Florida.  Burial in Anthony, Kansas in Attica Cemetery.

Mrs. Darnes was born in Spivey, Kansas, August 24, 1910, the daughter of Lon Olin and Nellie Bly (Boyd) Wells. She married George Robert Darnes and he survives.

She was a member of the Westminister Presbyterian Church in Springfield.

Other survivors include a brother, Howard Wells, Kingman, Kansas; a daughter, Phyllis Darnes Botterweck, Itasca; two step-children and three nephews.

She was preceded in death by a step-son, Bruce Robert Darnes and two uncles.
