L. T. Clark (Agriculture 1930-1963)

Lloyd Talbert Clark, 67, of Olney, vocational agriculture teacher at the East Richland High School since 1925 and the school’s acting principal during World War II, died Sunday night, December 16, 1962 in Richland Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Clark was a holder of the honorary National Future Farmers of America Key. That award was presented him three years ago when he was the only Illinois recipient.

He was the acting principal of the high school during much of World War II in the absence of the then principal, J.H. Cherry.

Mr. Clark was a former president of the Olney Rotary Club, former Commander of the Olney American Legion Post and was a member of the Olney Methodist Church.

He leaves his wife, Leona; brother, Alvin Clark of North Liberty, Ind. and sister, Mrs. Amy Clark of San Francisco, Calif.

Funeral services in the Schaub Funeral Home with burial to follow other services in his native town of Kinderhook, Illinois.  Burial in Akers Chapel Cemetery.
