Fred Alvin Eyer, 85, of Indiana, Pennsylvania,  died Saturday, July 12, 2008, at Indiana Regional Medical Center.

He was the son of William and Mary Eyer, born Oct. 18, 1922, in Olney, Ill. Fred served in the U.S. Army in World War II. He was an active member in his younger years in the Indiana VFW Post 1989, Loyal Order of Moose Post 187, American Legion Post 141 and the Elks Lodge Post 931.

He is survived by his wife, Martha J. Myers, of Indiana, and a brother, Jimmy Eyer and wife Betty, of South Carolina.

Services and interment will be private. The Bence-Mihalcik Funeral Home, Indiana, is handling the arrangements.
