Mrs. Hazel Beck, 49, of Moweaqua passed away at about 1 p.m. Thursday, December 14, 1972.  She was found burned to death in her home.

She was born July 30, 1923 in Olney, daughter of H.M. and Marsha Berry.  On February 24, 1945 she married Henry S. Beck at Phenix City, Alabama.

Surviving are her husband, Henry; a son, Terry J. in the U.S. Air Force at Fort Bragg, N.C.; a daughter, Suzanna Gail at home; one grandchild; three brothers, Keith Berry of Atlanta, Ga., Lyle Berry of Olney and Wayne Berry of Claremont; and two sisters Mrs. Vera Bateman of Kingford Heights, Ind. and Mrs. Fern Gatzake of Florida.

One sister preceded her in death.

She was a member of the Church of Christ of Olney.  The Becks had lived in Moweaqua the past 15 years.

Services at the Sherwood Funeral Home in Moweaqua with Kenneth Douglas officiating. Interment in Haven Hill Cemetery in Olney.
