Maryoleta Bauman (Diel)

Maryoleta Bauman Diel, 89, passed away Thursday, November 7, 2013.

Mrs. Diel was born to the late Harry Frederick Bauman and Ices Ernestine (Zerkle) Bauman in OIney, Illinois, on August 6, 1924. She moved to Orlando in 1958 when her husband, Delmar F. Diel, was an Engineer with the Martin-Marietta Company. She was an Elder in Grace Covenant Presbyterian Church in Orlando. She was with the City of Orlando until her retirement in 2003. She received a Master of Science degree in Computer Technology and was a certified Paralegal, both with Honors. She volunteered at her church library, Shepherd's Hope, Sierra Club, and Florida Hospital East. She knit preemie sets for Arnold Palmer Hospital, Orlando Regional Hospital and Florida Hospital. Her church gave her a Life Membership in Woman of the Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Delmar Franklin Diel, and her parents, Harry and Ices Bauman. She is survived by her daughter, Karen Diel Mobley (Russ), of Tarpon Springs, Florida; sons, Dr. Walter D. Diel (Barbara) and Dr. Timothy F. Diel, both of Orlando; seven grandchildren, Dr. TJ Albert (Janine), of Naples, Florida; Dr. Matt Albert (Jacque), of Palm Harbor, Florida; Ms. Jessica Erin Diel, Master Derek Henry Diel, Ms. Melanie Serena Diel, Mrs. Melissa Diel and Mrs. Sherry Kline, all of Orlando; and seven great-grandchildren,: Alyssa Chase Albert, Ella Faith Albert, Payton Alexa Albert, Aidan Joseph Albert, Adam Thomas Albert, Charlotte Riley Albert and Yasmine Gustave.

She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Leona G. (Diel) Street, of OIney, sister-in-law, Betty N. (Diel) Kosack, of Champaign, and brother-in-law, Sylvanus Jack Diel, of Castleberry, Fla., and nieces and nephews.

The Memorial Service held in Orlando, Florida. Mrs. Candy Vander Weide will officiate. The interment at Greenwood Cemetery in Orlando, Florida.
