Betty L. McCleary  80, of  Addison, Illinois, formerly of Bloomington, died Thursday, Dec. 11, 2003 at her home in Addison.  Funeral services at Calvert & Metzler Memorial Home, Bloomington, the Rev. Jerald Thorson officiating. Burial in Funks Grove Cemetery, McLean.

She was born Aug. 14, 1923, in Noble, to Ralph B. and Ina Shaw Watkins. She married Donald McCleary Nov. 26, 1942, at Olney. He died Feb. 24, 1991.

Surviving are one daughter, Sandra Doyle, Addison; one son, Michael (Marsha) Little Rock, Ark.; two brothers, John (Judith) Watkins, Anna, and Lee (Dona) Watkins, Noble; two sisters, Lela Mae (Lester) Sterchi, Dundas, and Leota (Kenneth) Travers, Olney; two grandsons, Marc Frost and Patrick McCleary; and one great-grandson, Gavin McCleary.

Her parents and one brother preceded her in death.

She was a member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, Addison, and a former member of Wesley United Methodist Church, Bloomington.

Betty had formerly worked for the Illinois Agriculture Association of Bloomington retiring after 25 years of service.
