Carl Kowa

Carl Kowa, 61, 427 N. Morgan, Olney was found dead along side a road south of Noble in October 1983. He died  as the result of an apparent heart attack.  Burial in Green Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Kowa was born in Richland County January 4, 1922, the son of William and Bessie (Seiler) Kowa. He married Betty Worrell October 28, 1956 in Noble and she survives.

He was fleet mechanic for the East Richland School District and farmed.

He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, the Illinois Nut Tree Assoc. and the Richland County Farm Bureau.

Other survivors include a son, J.C. Kowa, Olney; a daughter, Nancy Boccuzzi, Oradell, N.J.; two brothers, Dale, Durham, N.C. and Bob of Decatur; his mother, Bessie Kowa, Olney; a grandchild and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father.
