Helen Henry (Hosselton) - Class Of 1940

Helen Rhea Hosselton, 92, of Clay City, IL entered her heavenly home Monday, September 21, 2015 at Richland Memorial Hospital at Olney, IL . Funeral service at Hosselton Funeral Home, Cisne with burial in Zif Cemetery.

Helen was born January 14, 1923 at Oblong, IL to Ralph Russell and Edna Zora (Harmon) Henry. She married Gill Hosselton January 7, 1942 at Flora, IL and he preceded her in death March 12, 2001.

Helen was a homemaker and retired as Head Cook from Clay City High School December 31, 1981 where she worked over twelve years. She proudly received her Associate Degree from Frontier College May 24, 1984. Helen was a member of Zif Southern Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school for several years and also was a member of the WMU for years. Helen and Gill loved to make and sell crafts and their wood works.

Helen is survived by four sons and their wives, eight grandchildren and twenty one great grandchildren - son Ronald (Agnes) Hosselton, John (Darlene) Hosselton, Bruce (Jane) Hosselton, Douglas (Karen) Hosselton; sister-in-law Earlene Henry; brothers-in-law Russell Hosselton and Lindy (Roberta) Hosselton, and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Preceding her in death were her husband Gill, one granddaughter Amanda Hosselton, one sister Dorothy Yates, one brother Owen Henry and her parents.
