Opal Pauline Burgener, 81, of Noble, died Tuesday april 29, 2003 at Richland Memorial Hospital in Olney.  Burial in Greenhill Cemetery in rural Noble.

Mrs. Burgener was born on March 31, 1922 in Richland County, the daughter of John and Ethel (Frost) Fout. She married Dwight Burgener on January 12, 1947. He survives.

She lived all her life in Richland County. She was a retired secretary-bookkeeper for Nix Brothers Implement and Montgomery Ward. She was a member of Wynoose United for Christ Church, Wynoose Women's Club and Decker HEA.

Mrs. Burgener is survived by her husband, Dwight Burgener of Noble; two sons, John Burgener and his wife, Karen of Creve Coeur, Mo. and Stephen Burgener and his wife, Elizabeth of Noble; a daughter, Mary Jo Kowalsky and her husband, Mark of Roselle; a sister, Selma Milliman and her husband, Harold of West Liberty; four grandchildren and a step-grandson.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Margaret.
