Dove Eichhorst (Hudson)

Elsie Dove Eichhorst Hudson, 85, of Lake Jackson, Texas, died Saturday, November 25, 2006.

She was born July 5, 1921, in Claremont, Illinois.

She is preceded in death by her father, Rolla Eichhorst; her mother, Beulah Weesner Eichhorst; her sister, Carrol Eichhorst Rose; her brother, Jewel Eichhorst; and her husband, Dr. Arlington (Al) Hudson.

Dove grew up on a farm 10 miles southeast of Olney, IL. She graduated from Olney High School and then attended Indiana Central College in Indianapolis, where she "got her doctor." She married Al Hudson in May 1943 and settled in Connersville, Indiana. In 1974, she and Al moved their family to Lake Jackson, Texas.

Dove was a devoted wife and a loving mother to her eight children, and was adored by her 15 grandchildren. She is survived by her children: Jennifer, Jeffrey, Jerome, Jonathan, Jeanna, Jameson, Jackson and Joseph; as well as her grandchildren: Zachary, John Michael, Emily, Matthew, Elijah, Jessica, Audrey, David, Michael, Jonathan, Hayley, Jeffrey, Andrea, Nicholas and Sophia. Dove also is survived by her cousins, Margaret Ann King, Jack Leathers, Eugene Weesner, Alwyn Lichner, Jim Wisner, Alice Pampe, Dick Inyart, Carolyn Masterson and Marilyn Stirrett.

Dove will be greatly missed by her friends and family, and fondly remembered for her gentle, loving ways.

Ann Weesner (King) (1960)

Dove was a loving cousin of mine.  We spent many happy hours and days together as we grew older and we had both moved to Texas.  We grew as close as sisters..... she is lovingly missed.
