James V. "Jimmy" Combs died April 30, 1995 of complications from C.O.P.D.  He is buried in Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina.

His wife, Jean S. Combs preceded him in death March 11, 1989.

He is survived by a son, Jack and a daughter, Debbie.
