Dan Borah

Dan V. Borah Sr., 73 of Olney, died  June 30, 1996 at his residence.Private family memorial services in St. Alban's Episcopal Church in Olney. The body is being cremated.

Borah was born October 8, 1922 in Richland County, the son of O.C. and Margaret (Vernor) Borah. He married Betty Glover September 9, 1944 in Olney.

He was a retired self-employed businessman, having owned and operated Olney Credit Union. He was a member of St. Alban's Episcopal Church in Olney. He was also a Shriner, a Rotarian and a life member of the Olney Elks.

Surviving are his wife; three sons, Daniel Vernor Borah Jr. MIA, James Edward Borah of Springfield and Robert Christopher Borah of St. Claire, Mo.; three daughters, Kathryn Elizabeth Duez of Leroy, Julie Young Bunn of Olney and Sally Jane Gardner of Olney; one brother, William Edward Borah of Olney; one sister, Carolyn Ferguson of Victoria, Texas and 12 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two grandsons.
